My Story

Hello!

My name is Joanna Ostapowicz and I am a Canadian Freelance Makeup Artist based in Edmonton, AB. Makeup has always been a passion of mine, and that passion continues in to my work to-date.

My makeup journey started with folk dance and stage makeup. Not only was I doing my own makeup, other dancers asked me to do theirs. After university, I attended Eveline Charles Academy in 2012, and received my Makeup Artistry Certificate. My constant strive for improvement has continued with artistry seminars, and makeup workshops with M.A.C., Edmonton Makeup Artists, Blush Artistry, Behind the Blush Makeup Artistry and most recently with Nicole Wagner of Powder Inc. Makeup.  My freelance makeup business, Asia O Makeup Artistry, has connected me to amazing people: wonderful clients, photographers and other makeup artists.

I specialize in weddings and photo ready makeup and my mantra is beauty is within, I only enhance what's already there.

My most recent accomplishment that I cherish, is being apart of a wonderful community of makeup artists located at CRU Makeup Loft. These artists have injected me with a new and fresh lease for my makeup business.
