Hello, and welcome. My name is Joanna Ostapowicz, and I am a professional freelance makeup artist based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Makeup has been a lifelong passion of mine, and that passion continues to shape every client experience and look I create today.
My Makeup Journey
My journey into makeup artistry began through folk dance and stage makeup, where I quickly became known not only for my own work, but for helping fellow dancers with theirs. This early exposure to performance makeup laid the foundation for my technical skill and creative eye. After completing university, I formally trained at Eveline Charles Academy, where I earned my Makeup Artistry Certificate in 2012. Since then, I have continuously refined my craft through advanced artistry seminars and professional workshops with respected industry leaders, including M·A·C Cosmetics, Edmonton Makeup Artists, Blush Artistry, Behind the Blush Makeup Artistry, and most recently Nicole Wagner of Powder Inc. Makeup.

I specialize in bridal makeup, photo-ready makeup, and special occasion looks, with a strong focus on skin, balance, and timeless beauty.
